Black carbon fiber wrap adds edgy look to truck

This week one of our clients had a request. He wasn't fond of the chrome all over his truck. He was searching for a way to tone down the chrome, and add an edgy look. He was referred to TechnoSigns by a previous client. After an initial consultation, at which he was able to see over 30 samples of paint replacement vinyl wrapping films, he was sold on Carbon Fiber Series 1080 3M wrap film. After two days, his truck was carefully wrapped with the vinyl. We were able to add a two tone look, wrap all of the chrome, and add a decidedly edgier look to the Ford. TechnoSigns Chrome car wrap video now on YouTube

The TechnoSigns chrome car wrap is a hit. The reaction to it has been nothing short of amazing. Many of our clients have asked to see more of this unique vehicle wrap. We've created a YouTube video that shows the wrap in photos and video form. In it, you'll see a brief clip of the installation process. The application is handled differently than other vinyl wraps. Most wraps are applied dry. To eliminate scratches, chrome vinyl is applied wet; with a friction reducing solution.

Orlando's first chrome car wrap

One of the newest trends in vehicle customization is chrome vehicle wraps. Over the last year, celebrities in California have been seen in tabloids driving chrome wrapped cars. Justin Bieber owns one, as well as Kim Kardashian. Over the last week, TechnoSigns has been working on chroming an Infiniti G37 for one of our long time clients. The vinyl that we used is Avery Conform Chrome. While it's sold as an accent vinyl, for things like door handles, we couldn't stop there. If a little is good, then a lot is better, right? We've been told by our supplier that we have made the very first chrome wrapped car in all of Central Florida. While the idea of driving a shiny silver car may not be everyone's cup of tea, we can attest that it certainly demands attention. Drivers sped up to get a better look, as well as honked their horns, and snapped camera photos. We've never seen anything like the reaction that this car has gotten. If you'd like to see more, we just uploaded two photos of the new chrome wrap at www.technowraps.com/portfolio

Budget concious marketers choose partial wraps

Partial vehicle wraps provide big bang for the buck.
Partial wraps like this provide big bang for the buck
In the current economic climate, marketers are looking for options to stretch their advertising dollar. While full graphic wraps provide the biggest wow factor, partial wraps are a great way to add dynamic graphics to your vehicle with a smaller budget. Digitally printed graphics can be combined with cut vinyl graphics to achieve most of the impact of a full vehicle wrap, without the full price. Our graphic designers try to work with the body lines of the vehicle, so that the graphics look natural and "flow" better. When considering if a partial wrap is right for you, it is important to think about the factory color of your car. Neutral colors like white, black, and silver usually are most effective, since they are unlikely to clash with the printed portion of the wrap. The factory color of a car or truck is not important if your vehicle to be a full vehicle wrap, since all painted surfaces will be covered in vinyl. If you'd like to see some examples of full and partial wraps, please see our porfolio. www.technowraps.com/portfolio/

Vehicle wrap design service goes nationwide

There are many challenges to the inexperienced vehicle wrap designer. Finding the correct vehicle template, designing around a vehicle's obstacles, and ensuring readability at highway speeds are just a few of the things that are unique to creating a dynamic wrap design. While there are many talented designers in this world, even some of the best can have difficulty designing for a process that they are unfamiliar with. We think the best vehicle wrap designers are the very same people that have had hands on experience installing them.

WrapDesign.com
Vehicle Wrap Design site
For this reason, we created a nationwide vehicle wrap service: www.wrapdesign.com Now, clients from all over the U.S. can contact us to design a vehicle wrap for them. Consultations are conducted via telephone and design proofs are sent via email. Once the design is approved, it can be sent to the client either though the internet, or shipped on physical storage media. Printing and installation of our design can be done locally.

The new trend in vehicle wraps - Paint Replacement Wraps

Many of you have seen one of the latest trends in vehicle customization. It is called "paint replacement vehicle wraps". This involves covering the factory color on a car, truck, or boat with a different color wrap vinyl. One of the main benefits of this is the ability to change the color of a vehicle, without affecting the factory paint. It looks great, while preserving the resale value of the car. Paint replacement wraps provide all of the benefits of changing the vehicle's color, without the commitment. If the car owner decides to change the color a year or two later, the wrap can be removed easily, and rewrapped. In fact, while the vehicle is wrapped, it acts as a barrier to protect the paint from bird droppings and bug spatters.

3M has recently introduced many new paint replacement wrap colors. They are known as Film Series 1080. While the basics like glossy white, blue, black, and red, are covered, there are also a few that are much more unique. Carbon fiber colors, brushed metal colors, satin colors, matte colors, as well as metallics are now available. There are 39 colors in all. For more information, you can visit www.3mgraphics.com/1080
